From the calmer Chama to the challenging stretches of the Rio Grande, there’s water waiting for first-time and experienced rafters alike.
Rivers + Lakes
Whether it’s a paddle or a fishing line you’re looking to spend time with, Taos offers a sweet and diverse selection of lakes, river stretches and holes to ride, wade and angle in. The best whitewater rafting in New Mexico is found here. So are the most promising holes for fly- and bait-fishing. (Fall is especially good for Rainbows and Browns.)

Paddlers are welcome to experience the premier run of the Taos Box with its fast and nearly continuous action.
