Horseback Riding

There’s something about being in the saddle.
Unleash your cowboy or cowgirl side a little with a guided horseback ride through ranch lands and high mountain trails.

Rio Grande Stables has mountain rides on the slopes of the Taos Ski Valley where the Sangre de Cristo Mountains rise 12,000 ft. above us. Enjoy beautiful vistas from trails that wind among the pines and high country meadows. Two-hour rides Bull of the Woods Creek. Three- and four-hour trails actually go above tree line to alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers. All-day trips to either Wheeler Peak (the highest mountain in New Mexico), or to the Gold Hill are available.

Ride with Roadrunner Tours, Angel Fire, on the private East Moreno Ranch or in the peaceful mountain country of the Carson National Forest (1/2-hour to full day rides available).
