The Carson National Forest wants to hear from you.

The weather is getting warmer, summer is quickly approaching, and that means it’s time to enjoy the great outdoors! The Carson National Forest is currently open, and visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing and more. The cool summer temperatures offer a nice respite from the heat, promising relaxation in the peace and quiet. Some of the finest mountain scenery in the Southwest can be found in these 1.5 million acres, where elevations rise from 6,000 feet to 13,161 feet at Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico.
